I’m Cally Cole (she/her), a Minnesota native now living in New Orleans. I am a jill of many trades but in this space you will see my work as a singer-songwriter and I hope you stick around for the journey. I have a deep love for poetry and connecting with others through shared emotional experiences. My roots lie in folk, Americana, and classical music, and I spent 17 years playing the flute. I grew up singing with my sister at our dad’s shows, and spent 4 years in a mo-town/soft rock cover band in Duluth, MN. All in all, I am a sucker for a good harmony and a melody that sweeps your heart up.

For the past four years, I’ve enjoyed working as a studio vocalist here in New Orleans, helping local composers create libraries of work. In 2023 I released an EP that I created with my friend, Josh Starkman, and partner, Albert Allenback. My music nowadays focuses on stream-of-consciousness storytelling and finding ways to make sense of this wild life we live. Truthfully, I just want to give people a soft place to land and permission to feel whatever arises. Tears are good for the soul. I am the host of Songbird Sessions and Songbird Open Mic, where I bring singer-songwriters and creatives together for intimate, cozy performances that connects us by hearing the stories behind the songs.

In August 2025, Cally Cole & The Cosmos was born! We hope to bring this music to a special new place that reaches the stars and beyond. The band consists of Molly Graham (violin/music director), Jemila Dunham (bass), Kate Chopin (lead guitar), and Cally Cole. Thank you for being here and thank you for supporting the vision!
